Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Trust

The Trust was set up in 1964 by The Earl Mountbatten of Burma as a memorial to his great friend the late Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India.

The Trust works towards the furtherance of education by two means - the institution of an annual public lecture known as the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Lecture, and the award of scholarships to outstanding students of Indian citizenship who wish to specialise in science, technology or the humanities.

The texts of almost all the lectures since the series started in 1966 are available here.

The Trust works with Trinity College and the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust to offer the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Trust Cambridge Scholarship.
