Higher Education Commission, Pakistan

The Higher Education Commission acts as a facilitator for institutions of higher education in Pakistan, and aims to enable HE institutions there to be engines of growth for the socio-economic development of the country. The Commission is involved in all aspects of higher education, including the internal quality and assessment of universities and degrees within Pakistan, and academic interaction with the wider world.

The HEC works with the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust to offer the Pakistan HEC Cambridge Scholarship.

Successful scholars are expected to return home after their studies in Cambridge, to become faculty members involved with teaching and research at a university of their choice in Pakistan. It is hoped that these individuals will also play a key role in Universities building Economies, Leadership and Communities.
