Israeli Scholar wins award for Music, Education and Psychology
Tal-Chen Rabinowitch, a Scholar with the Cambridge Overseas Trust during her PhD studies at the Faculty of Music, is joint winner of the Aubrey Hickman Award from SEMPRE (the Society for Education, Music and Psychology Research).
Her winning paper, derived from her PhD research, was entitled ‘Long-term musical group interaction has a positive influence on empathy in children’. The award recognizes that Tal-Chen’s work helps to elucidate the value of interactive music-making in children’s general education and development.
